I updated this hero with some of the newer aggression events and it’s even better than before! You can still try the old version if you have a smaller card pool.

Ant-Man is my favorite hero in the game (I love the idea of changing forms and staying in hero mode) and Aggression is my favorite aspect. I made this deck during a time when I was tired of seeing so many decks that seemed to just swarm allies to win.

I like playing as the hero!

This deck really makes you feel like Ant man, going big, going small, going big again and just punching your way through all your problems!

It has beaten Expert Ronan as well as many of the other villains on expert.

The idea is simple: use Ant-mans built in kit of heavy damage dealing with a dose of healing to keep Ant-man in hero form as long as possible. Against many match ups he can deal out enough damage to steam roll a villain in 3-4 turns. That being said, his healing can keep him in the game much longer. The biggest weakness is thwart. Ant-man will often be too busy punching to bother with thwart. Besides for Wasp Lockjaw and his tiny ability, the goal is simply to punch the villain into the ground before they complete their scheme.

How to play:

A good opening hand for this deck involves a surprise attack and drop kick. You can flip to giant, throw a surprise attack, drop kick the villain and then punch with Ant-man for a total of 11 damage AND a stun!

This deck can usually deal out 10-20 damage a turn so we’re not as worried about setting up in a tough fight. However everything in Ant-man’s kit is designed to help you reach your goal.

Ant-mans helmet May be the best card in the entire game. Since you’ll be flipping every turn between giant and tiny at least once, you’ll constantly be drawing cards and healing, especially combined with Resize which will allow you to flip twice in a turn! You can also use pym particles in tiny mode to draw even more or more likely in giant form to keep Ant-man taking punches.

Wrist Gauntlets can keep you in hero mode just by sacrificing some of your many fist resources to stun the villain again and again. If you really end up low on health you can also drop an energy in tiny form to confuse! Did I mention Ant-man also has Giant Stomp to deal a damage to all minion and 8 damage to one enemy??

Giant strength is a nice little strength bonus but I will sometimes use it to pay for other cards instead. Getting down your army of Ants will have Tiny Ant-man pinging away minions or tough status cards as well. It also can fuel hive mind for an explosive thwart!

For attack events we have our bread and butter drop kick that deals damage, stuns and draws us a card.

Clobber that can deal 3 damage for 2 and then return to our hand!

Surprise attack dealing 4 damage for 1 and since we flip between hero forms, we can use it often!

Browbeat which can deal 4 to 5 damage to the villain for 2 cost!

And finally piercing strike to get around tough status cards. (Giant Nuisance also works well for this)

Finally we round all this out with martial prowess and team building exercise to help us pay for the all this good stuff and Jarnbjorn so we never wast that extra un played card because it can be tossed for two more damage! Keep in mind that we can use team building to pay for TINY and GIANT traited cards as well.

For allies we have 3:

Wasp in order to thwart (she can also punch!)

Lockjaw in case we’re desperate for a thwart, we can bounce him from our discard pile (also a good fist resource wherever we may need it). He can also punch!

And lastly that leaves us our special friend Hulk! The deck is full of fist resources so that we can hopefully get 5 damage out of Hulk each turn. Even if he gets discarded, 3 attack for two cost is similar to an attack event so he’s never wasted. More times than not he will deal anywhere from 15 to 25 damage over the course of a game.
