Ms. Marvel's Preconstructed Protection deck

name Remember when Ms. Marvel released with a Protection Precon and it was kinda bad for her? Unfortunately that was many people's first experience with Ms. Marvel, and a lot of those people decided "not for me" and moved on to Captain America or some other hero.

Well I think it is high time we revisit Ms. Marvel in Protection and Re-Construct a deck with all the latest bells and whistles that I think makes for a great modern Protection build for Ms. Marvel.

One of my favorite things about Ms. Marvel, and something the original precon hid somewhat, is her awesome AE abilities. She has a great ability on her Identity card, and then Nakia Bahadir, Aamir Khan, and Bruno Carrelli generate a ton of power for Kamala. So Ready for a Fight helps us get down to AE and tap into all those great AE abilities. With all that flipping down we can visit Hidden Base, which will give us a tough on the way down as well.

I did keep Tackle from the original precon, as Stun is going to increase our survivability even more, and I genuinely think it is a good card for her. People talk about Captain America Stun Lock but you can literally do this every turn with Ms. Marvel using her Morphogenetics ability if desired. I then added Multitalented as it is not too difficult to hit all kickers and that can help with threat as well.

Also y'all remember Pinpoint Pinpoint is great for throwing back in a Ready for a Fight or an ally, and will also shuffle the deck if you have been putting cards on the bottom with Aamir and would like them to show back up sooner.

Lastly to round out the Precon we got some core set staples in Avengers Mansion, Helicarrier, and Nick Fury. Then added a couple more Champion allies and a Superpower Training to round things out.

A minion defeated in the villain phase is worth 3 more cards than in the player phase

Now the part I may have lost you all on, Change of Fortune and Unflappable. Look this is not that hard to hit! With Ready for a Fight and Powerful Punch we don't have to defeat minions in the player phase. Instead we can tee them up or with Embiggen! we can take down a 6 HP minion before they get a chance to fully attack us. Then at the end of it all you are going to draw 2-3 cards which is 2-3 more than you would have had you tried to defeat the minion in the player phase. Jocasta will even be so kind to hold the Powerful Punch for you. And Bruno Carrelli can hold a copy for you as well so you can guarantee a copy in hand going into the villain phase. See? Not so hard at all!

Now YOU are Ready for a Fight!!!

I hope you all enjoy giving this a shot. Ms. Marvel is one of my favorite heroes in the game and it always made me sad people gave up on her because of her Protection Precon. While I still think she is best in Justice and Aggression I have had a lot of fun with this reimagining of a protection precon deck and it let her dip into all her AE bag of tricks which I love.

Oh man, I love the combo of pinpoint and RFaF, I'm always looking for a way to use him more.
