The Captain Marvel Commander Deck is built around powering up Spider-Woman's signature ally and maximizing her "Commander" ability (Response: After Captain Marvel uses a basic power, draw 1 card).

In the late game you can consistently get 3-5 Captain Marvel activations per turn.

The basic idea of the deck is as follows

  1. Get Captain Marvel in play. Captain Marvel is the only avenger in this deck, so you can use Call for Aid to guarantee you pull her.

  2. Buff her damage and thwarting abilities with Power Gloves and Inspired

  3. Activate her Multiple times per round with Get Ready, Sky Cycle, and Inspired Presence. Draw tons of cards!

  4. Sustain Captain Marvel with Med Team and Inspired Presence.

Besides the Med Teams, the protection aspect allows Spider-Woman to protect herself instead of requiring allies for blockers. With Armored Vest, Spider-Woman will typically have a Defense of four. Unflabbalbe increases the incentive to block while Self-propelled glide and Indomitable reduce the penalty of blocking.

Maria and Nick Fury allow for card cycling and additional thwart and blocking in the early game.

Cards to Consider: Replacing: Energy Barrier with Power of Protection.

Adding: Make the Call, especially against Kang or Ultron

I've been thinking about a deck like this, except I don't own RoRS...

It looks like a great deck when you are all set up, but with so few allies I'm not sure I'd be able to survive to the end game consistently with this version, and only 1xInspired/Power Gloves/Sky Cycle must make it tricky to get set up. I have a spider man deck where I aim for him to defend while the allies do most of the work, but spider man has Aunt May and can web up the villain.

@adsarfRoRs is amazing, you are in for a treat!

So Spider-woman is also great at controlling the villain with two cards in her signature kit, Pheromones which stuns and confuses the villain, and Contaminant Immunity which heals her 3 and gives her a tough status. Her Superhuman Agility in this deck means that she is consistently at a 3 defense or higher, and has Self-Propelled Glide to stand herself.

The full set-up is difficult to get, however, this build starts firing as soon as you get Captain Marvel and Med Team down on the table. Captain Marvel's card draws allows you to cycle through your deck for the attachments, allies when needed, and more Get Ready/Inspiring PresenceInspiring Presence to keep the chain going.

I just built a deck like this but I was running 3 first aid and a reinforced suit because I felt like I needed more heals. How did you keep her alive with just med team? Also i was running 3 call for aids so I could almost always get her on the first turn. Where you able to get her on the first turn with two? Should I switch to two call for aids?

@Viking130I prioritize getting Med Teams on the table, whether I need them at the time or not. In the plays I've done with this deck, it was rare that I had to forgo using one of Captain Marvel's basics in order to keep her alive.

The balance with this deck is definitely tricky because of Spider-Womans deckbuilding restrictions of needing equal parts of both aspects. I haven't had any issues getting her out early with 2x Call for Aids and when I don't get her out it's not punishing because Spider-woman has great control tools. In the meantime, you can focus on getting those med-teams out. You could definitely run another Call for Aid for more consistency but then you also have another dead card in your deck once you get her out and it's more punishing since you'll be burning through your deck fast with this build. You could also play a few first aids if you have trouble sustaining her. As a player that loves synergy, it's difficult to include neutral cards unless they are essential to the build because they don't synergize with her Superhuman Agility. That's just personal preference though.

I like the idea of reinforced suit. The problem is the deck is so tight as is. I wanted to include it, but I couldn't find a leadership card to cut. If you aren't as rigid about having a 40 card deck, then the reinforced suit and first aids are fine. Also if there are leadership cards you are willing to part with to include a reinforced suit, then It's easy to find a few Protections cards to cut such as unflappable, Clea, and or indomitable.
