Bug is basically a cheaper beat cop for Agression. I always try to mulligan for him because yes he is that good. He can also ping off those annoying tough statuses on the villain besides thwarting every turn. Must play ally for Agression.

I think he's lackluster in builds that don't want to make basic attacks. At that point if you're never going to basic attack, he's the worst 2 cost chump blocker in the game. Which can still be valuable but you probably have better options.

But yea as long as you're planning on basic attacking he's a must include.

The worst 2-cost chump blocker is still a 2-cost chump blocker, which is pretty solid.

Bug is like Black-Cat on Venom…enough basic attacks to keep him around forever

Surprised nobody mentioned it in the 4 year old reviews, but Bug with Energy Spear is awesome in a deck that uses regular basic attacks. When I lean into this, I typically add a 4 pack of Cosmo, Bug, and 2 Energy Spears. If there was zero chance of knowing the encounter card due to the deck build / hero abilities in the 1 or 2 player game, then I would likely still run Bug+2 because I love having 3 piercing damage on tap every single turn.
