Hydra Saves the World (Ex-GMW Campaign)

The Last Stand
Last night we beat the final stage of the expert campaign against Ronan the Accuser. We played the campaign with 4 players. The rest of the team was Captain America (L), Scarlet Witch (J) and Rocket (A). With this blend of characters and aspects we had tremendous thwarthing and damage capabilities.

Spending all our resources on the first turn to clear out the Expert side scheme. Unfortunately we hadn't read ahead, and so suffered with 3pp additional threat on the Pincer Maneuver. We had the choice against Nebula to clear her Expert scheme or clear her ship of Evasion counters. Deciding on the last was a mistake.

However, one does not win against Ronan without a little luck, and as it turned out, getting Shadow Of The Past on Spider-Woman, I think was instrumental to our success. Padding the deck a bit with some less powerful cards, and a pair of minions with low HP for Rocket to feed on was really helpful. So Hydra helped the world against the greater menace of Ronan.

It was a 6-7 hour grind, but man it was satisfying!
