This deck beat the villains that the solo justice deck struggled with, namely Klaw, Ultron, and Ronan on expert mode. The main problem with the solo justice deck was a lack of damage. In the first two, it was a lot of getting overwhelmed with a lot of 1-2 attack minions, and then also having poor luck drawing Shadows of the Past and ending up with a horde of minions I struggled to get past. This deck took care of that problem entirely. I breezed through both of those scenarios. And it set up huge turns with Hall of Heroes and his Project Rebirth 2.0 being able to draw a large amount of cards and possibly use Run and Gun twice in one go.
With Ronan and this deck it was still definitely a challenge. I was worried about the scheme but managed it with the Multi-Gun, Behind Enemy Lines and some of the aggression thwart events. The main point was to finish Ronan III in 2-3 turns, so that I didn’t have to worry about the Retaliate or the Power Stone boosts. He did flip to 2B on the main scheme, but I managed to hold onto the Power Stone to keep the scheme clear, and I had enough cards at the end to keep an ally out to take the hit, or block for 4 and ready. But it was very satisfying in the end.
Ally Groot was essential. I kept him out most of the game blocking the Kree Militants until I could deal with them. The 2nd to last turn I blocked Ronan with him to keep myself ready, got Ronan down to less than 10 Hp, and then just had to survive one more turn to get there.
The card I never used was Follow Through, mainly because with Ronan the minions have high enough HP that it wasn’t usually worth it.
I had a lot of fun with these decks. They would also both pair in a multiplayer scenario.
