Rocket Raccoon Leadership of Draw

The Galaxy's Most Wanted Racoon will murder minions all day long while drawing all the cards. Just be aware of timing. The sequencing for this deck is paramount. There are many actions that depend on what face Rocket is on.

As with every Rocket deck, his Restricted cards are fun to play. Shoot everything and draw all the cards. Depending on what Villain you are facing your priorities will change between Particle Cannon and Rocket Launcher. Keep on recovering the one that will control the board state the best with Salvage. Timing a Salvage before draw will help you be more proficient with the Upgrades. Rocket's Pistols are great in the off hand, and I would recommend playing one as your secondary Restricted card instead of a second 3 drop.

The Leadership Aspect works wonders. You use Guardians of the Galaxy to draw so many cards with all the Upgrades. You use Knowhere to draw when you play a Guardian Ally. Both known constants. GotG is excellent. The trick is the Laser Blasters, they are a Tech Upgrade. That means Alter-Ego mode can sacrifice one to draw 2 cards a turn. They are a 1 drop, so it is easy to pay (Helicarrier/Ingenuity) for it. In conjunction with GotG you are drawing 3 CARDS from this interaction a turn! (Salvage) That is sweet spot for the deck.

As a reminder, Allies DON'T fulfill the "you" requirement for Rocket's Hero ability. So annoying.

Your early game is to start decking out any ally with Upgrades. Using the Teck Upgrades to draw more cards as you need. Once you get Yondu and Gamora you want to switch all you upgrades to them through attrition.

Yondu does NOT take Consequential Damage, so you want to prioritize the Side Arm for bonus attack and Inspired eventually. With

Gamora allows you to "draw" an event card every Attack/Thwart she does. You need to be in Hero mode for this trigger. You have a 30% chance of getting a First Aid to heal her and let her continue being useful. I like to focus her on Thwarting most games, but she is an excellent attacker. I prioritize Comms Implant and Inspired for her.

Star lord is the next best Ally to suit up because of his stats. He is an excellent first or second turn Ally play if you don't have Yondu or Gamora. with a steady stream of First Aid he will do everything you need him to do.
