7/6/7 all clean (1 on search) with loads of HP
This is a real meat and potatoes kind of leadership build. Turn 1 focus being to combine meditation with Uncanny X-Men and then build your ally board from there. Rounds were a bit slower than I had hoped, but games always felt in control. Command Team and Leadership Skill were both clutch to clear threat in some critical situations. Each flip resulted in either Steel Fist (early) or Made of Rage (late) going back into the deck.
In every game, My first flip to hero I would not add tough so that I could quickly cycle through Search for Spiral. Mirage and Prof X were the linkage to keep Spiral from flipping back while I went back to AE to get my tough and Steel Fist. It happened to work out on all my official games, although I definitely missed this combo in a couple of practice games.
Game 1 - Stayed in AE the first two turns as I whiffed on Uncanny. Turn 3 I finally found it and flipped up only to find a dragon during the villain phase. Havok was in hand and made short work of him and that propelled me to a turn 7 win. Without Havok, this game goes very differently.
Game 2 - Uncanny/Meditate turn 1 allowed me to get down Mirage and flip Spiral. She missed on an advance turn 2 and the game was basically over from there. Flip back to hero turn 3 with a Steel Fist and she was locked down from there. Storm helped clear the 2 crime side schemes I drew late.
Game 3 - Uncanny/Mediate turn 1 into Mirage and a Spiral flip. Werewolf gobbled her up but managed the same combo as game 2 and locked her down. The big difference is that I ended up with basically a dead hand on turn 4. Dragon (without Havok this time) and 1 crime side scheme later, and the game cleaned up nicely in the end.
