Angel, the Aerial Protector of the Skies, who can combo off as Archangel with multiple of his identity cards, makes Angel worth taking a look at in the protecting aspect. Notable, there are a few glaring weaknesses with him in protection, so to try and fix those flaws, we add Armored Vest, Perseverance, and Enduranceto try and help stave off being defeated while you protect your companions, or just try to play a solo game without worrying about taking too much many hits. Angel has plenty of upside, being able to draw a card in his normal Angel form, and adding cards like Avengers Mansion to help the card draw coming helps in a big way.
Cannonball in this deck is an understatement on how good an ally can be, especially in any Aerial type deck, where he can be slotted into anyone trying to also be like Angel, flying high in the sky. You can also add allies to this deck, Forge and even potentially Storm if you need some more allies in here. I do think with the five selected though, they bring a lot of high cost value, with Starhawk coming in from the Guardians to provide constant protection if you take exact damage. Warpath does plenty with your Adaptive Plumage and Razor Dive events and Siryn being able to stun a minion with every attack, brings value to the selected five angels of Angel.
There are plenty of good resources that come with Angel as well, Avian Anatomy probably the MVP of this deck, being able to bring an Aerial event back to your hand, means you get more usage from your defense or damage identity cards.
There are plenty of cards you can probably take out of this deck if you're trying to thin through constantly to find the right events, but every card in my book is a good card!
Let me know what your thoughts are, and I'll probably be updating this deck as Angel is one of my favorite characters in Marvel, as my collection grows. Thank you!
