I played this through Age Of Apocalypse [Standard, Standard III, and Expert] with general ease.

When playing Standard III: Add 3x in Lie In Wait and 1x Face The Past, as his Nemesis has a greater chance of showing up. You don't need to take any cards out - as Nightcrawler benefits from a large pool of cards. If you want to make it an even 50, consider adding 1x Nick Fury, 2x Power In Everyone, 1x Shadowcat, 2x Surprise Move.

this deck is super fun. love the mutant education package in here, bamf for days.

I've found NC to really struggle with closing out games and Take That! does a lot to shore up that weakness

@Dougler Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I have modified a few cards as I've gone through scenarios. I've found a great way to deal with azazel. Adding 3x "Lie In Wait" to the deck making it go to 43 actually helps the deck. I don't mind my decks being over 40.
