Chump Blocking is Sooooooooooo 2024.

Nothing earth shattering here. It's a deck that's filled with x-men allies, resource generators, and utopia. Maybe a bit "samey" but keeping Shadowcat in phased form has never been easier. The number one priority is obviously Utopia. There are 3 ways to get it on the first turn (Forge, Build Support, and the card itself). Mulligan hard to get this card. There's a roughly 2/3 chance that with a mulligan you'll end up with one of the 3 cards needed to get utopia out. If not, play an ally or two just to take care of the board while you block for everyone.

Once it's out, there's a simple pattern of block, play an ally, attack to change form and let your allies do the rest. The flexibility of the allies in play allows you to easily control the board. Not only is it an incredibly strong deck, but it's also incredibly fun. Let Shadowcat do her thing and let the allies do the rest.

Notes: Endurance is included as a backup on the off chance she has to take a hit. Face the Past also provides a nice ready and card draw. While her nemesis minion causes a confuse, in my play experience, used when there are an ally or two on the table usually just allows for card draw and a form switch. Switching these out for an ally will provide slightly improved odds for finding an ally, although in my experience, this hasn't really been an issue.

This deck has been used to take down Venom Goblin in solo expert and expert campaign mode with the symbiote suit.
