Serving the Queen
You can see this deck in action against Red Skull here on June 12th (I'll update this with the actual video link that morning).
With this deck the goal is to get extra readies with Justice Served so you can trigger the Special on more of your Upgrades:
A key card for accomplishing this is Kimoyo Beads, because it's "you thwarting" (which Justice Served cares about), and can be triggered many different ways to remove the last threat from a scheme:
- You can thwart, attack, or defend to trigger it:
- Thwarting for 2 then triggering it removes a total of 3, which will clear most Player Side Schemes (although this deck doesn't have any).
- Attacking for 1 then triggering it might remove the last threat from any scheme (including the 1 threat that went on during the villain phase)
- Defend the villain and remove the threat just placed on the main, and assuming it's the last, ready with Justice Served. You can also set this up by leaving 1 threat on a side scheme during your phase with then intention of clearing it with a basic defend + Kimoyo Beads during the villain phase.
- T'Challa can thwart or attack to trigger it
- On the Prowl can remove three THEN trigger it
- Clawed Strike can deal 4 damage then trigger it
- Wakanda Forever! can trigger it
This makes Kimoyo Beads beads a high priority pull with your Inventor Action, which is fine since loads of scenarios start with some threat.
This deck also has Clear the Area which will also draw you a card if it removed all of the threat, and Skilled Investigator for another card draw!
40 cards
I've been gravitating to 42 card decks recently and don't mind going as high as 45 (sometimes more) with a deck that draws a lot of cards, and this one certainly does between:
With that said, I kept this one at 40 cards to maximize my chance of getting both Ready to Rumble and Justice Served in my opening hand in scenarios which have 3 threat somewhere on the first turn (Exp. Rhino, Std. or Exp. Klaw, Red Skull, etc.):
- Play Ready to Rumble
- Play Justice Served
- Exhaust to find Kimoyo Beads and play it for 0
- Flip up to hero and discard Ready to Rumble to ready
- Thwart 2 and have Kimoyo beads thwart the third
- Discard Justice Served to ready and thwart again or attack (this is really powerful in Expert Klaw, allowing you to defeat The "Immortal" Klaw and Defense Network on turn 1)

May 21, 2025Great deck. I’m curious though, why 2x Skilled Investigator and 2x Under Survelience? |
