Aerial. Guardian.
Adam Warlock has an Aerial trait but our hero seems to have clipped his wings to join a team. What if he left his magic behind instead?
There's no way outside of a hero's kit to gain the Aerial trait, minus taking a sharpie to it. This list pretends we did that- ignoring all Mystic trait power in lieu of a static Aerial trait. With Falcon's release we get a few pieces that can make for an interesting engine. Aero complements Cloud 9 and with Flight Squadron readying an ally, Cannonball becomes the new hero while Adam assists with exhaustions for Aerial Intervention and Bombs Away. Battle Magic can ready you back up with the Cape, letting you swing hard occasionally with Yaw and Roll and Pitchback.
Is this worth losing access to The Sorcerer Supreme, Bloodgem, and Spiritual Meditation? Team Building Exercise hits quite a lot of targets, so you trade the milling engine that 3x Spiritual Meditation enable for some team play that the ego of a Mystic would scoff at.
"Slots are hard" considerations: Wingman is cute and could make Captain Britain a more reliable powerhouse as well (and Wasp) but there's already a slight, intentional skew toward Protection events to make Battle Magic's heal not whiff when you're trying to burn a card to draw 2.
