Guide to beat Venom Goblin!

This deck was created with the only porpuse of defeating Venom goblin (Expert or Standart) however you can use it as a base for scenarios were you need to thwart a lot.

Here are the steps to follow:

1. With Venom Goblin you have to establish board presence with upgrades and supports, don't just play events, try to put in play at least 2 of this:

   • Avengers mansion
   • Hellicarrier
   • Quincarrier
   • Ingenuity

2. As a solo player the best option to have the least treath on a scheme for Venom Goblin Infest the City effect is the one from Midtown Manhattan which you recieve 2 indirect damage.

Avoid at all cost the effect of Lower Manhattan that adds a threat to each schemeif you use this as the lowest scheme you can lost control of threat real fast.

Since Spiderman has such a great economy the second best option to use as the lowest scheme is Upper Manhattan since you can afford lossing 1 card from your hand with this hero/deck.

3. Taking into consideration that you will take indirect damage most of the times, you will need a lot of allies, that's why you have 8 allies and in case you have 2 on the table you can block with 1, and receive 1 or 2 indirect damage on the other one.

Also, Aunt May will play a key role since you will need it to heal, try to give it priority otherwise use it as a resource and once you have Build support side scheme on the table bring it back from the discard pile.

4. Don't rely on status to avoid Venom Goblin activations since he has steady is a little hard to block every turn.

You still have Professor X and Dazler to confuse but they are expensive allies maybe once you have your board build you can rely more on them but for Professor X the best option with venom goblin could be to stun a minion if there's one on the board.

5. Generation X side scheme is key to have it on the board to have it as a Swinging Web Kick on demand to either deal with the advance glider or to do a final burst damage to kill the third stage on expert or second stage on standart to avoid the encounter cards of the When Revealed effect.

6. Finally, if you are struggling I recommend to change the recommended mod set for another one, that will change the difficulty a lot. If you want to stay thematic you can switch it for Goblin Gimmicks from the Green Goblin scenario pack.
