Cosmic team-up of epic proportions. Mystic power and techno-organic adaptability fuse together as Adam Warlock, The Sorcerer Supreme, manages the board state while building the beefiest voltron ally ever seen.
The primary weakness of voltron allies is keeping them alive through healing and/or mitigating consequential damage. Warlock's ally ability is to spend a mental resource to heal 2 damage. There's not a limit per phase or per round, so potentially all damage of any amount could be healed. Having Enhanced Awareness on the table makes this more consistent.
With all upgrades and supports in play, Warlock becomes an 3THW/9ATK ally with 7 hits points. Triggering Target Practice gets an occasional 11 damage output. Synced with Command Center or War Room gets additional damage or threat removal.
Adam Warlock is here to defend and thwart the main scheme until Warlock is up and running. Honorary Guardian and Children of the Atom are needed to play some of the upgrades (Energy Spear, Danger Room Training) but there's plenty to build even without those in play. Energy Shield is on hand to attach to Warlock to mitigate consequential damage.
In my play against Rhino, Warlock was able to absorb a Charge attach to save the hero from certain death. Taking four damage, two damage reduced by Energy Shield, healed completely in the hero phase.
