3 TURN KILL EVERY NORMAL VILLAIN

This was a custom deckbuild request for Sean 9 months ago, but since I kept referring to it in videos I might as well publish it!

Star-Lord vs Expert Hood with ONLY Elite Thunderbolt Modules

Star-Lord vs Expert Ronan

Deck Breakdown & Explanation

Rushdown on turn 3, Build Out on turns 1-2

This is a rush deck as requested, but since I know you prefer building out this deck has a bit of both! The goal is to "build out" and setup for 1-2 turns, then go for the kill on turn 3.

Element Gun

On turn 1, it's important to play the Element Gun that we grab with Star-Lord's setup ability. We need to Element Gun in play to unleash Sliding Shot and it's great on-demand damage for our kill turn. Other than this, everything else is flexible and dependent on the scenario and situation. Here are the key combos I prioritize:

  1. Digging Deep + White Fox are great cards to mill with Call for Aid and Gamora. This grabs us extra resources and extra damage. Peter Quill's alter-ego ability, Smooth Talker is great to put a Digging Deep back on top of the deck before milling.

  2. Black Panther on play can hold a leadership event. We usually either want Blaze of Glory or Call for Aid.

  3. When we are ready to push damage, Call for Aid is a reliable way to mill the deck and get deck a facedown encounter card because Black Panther is the only Avengers ally we have. So if he's already in play, each Call for Aid that we play is +1 facedown encounter card powering up Sliding Shot.

Hope you enjoy the deck!

If you play call for aid and you don't have any avengers, do you stop discarding cards from the top of your deck until you reset your deck? Or would it just keep continuing or something?

@fluffyseaotter Discard until the deck empties, then stop. pg 31 of the 1.6 rules reference -- "If the player’s deck empties while the player was discarding cards from their deck, no further cards are discarded from the newly shuffled deck."

@fluffyseaotter It’s as Excelsior said, you would stop discarding once you deck out. A fun combo i like to do is use Black Panther to grab Call for Aid so you can play it in addition to Call for Aids you have in hand to deck out multiple times to get extra encounter cards for Sliding Shot!

@Excelsior! @Web-Warrior Fanatic thanks for the reference! Gotta think of more clever ways to use this to 3-shot the villain!

Without black panther, what should i use ? Kaluu ?

Nov 24, 2025 Web-Warrior Fanatic · 29928

@Airweak Yes i would say Kaluu is the closest replacement. For this deck, Black Panther usually just wants to hold the card we want to play next turn, so he doesn’t really have an exact replacement. That being said, he’s not absolutely vital to the deck either. He’s just another option if we didn’t draw Gamora.

Love seein new statlord decks. I built something similar back when playing through TGMW campaign but I added the ally Cyclops and Face The Last and it just makes it wilder.
