The idea is to maximize Iron Lad by feeding him strong allies and giving stackable bonuses via supports.
Key cards: Ironlad, Bootcamp, Mighty Avengers
The choice of Spider-Woman comes from the ability to have strong allies: Hulk and Wasp and of course Boot Camp in RED and in BLUE to have access to Mighty Avengers, Team Training and the other star of the show Suit up to go and fetch who ever is needed.
Since Bootcamp and Mighty Avengers target Ironlad AND other heroes, a Wasp / hulk will provide Ironlad with a whopping +4 attack, while himself would get +1, so a 6 attack overall... not bad.
Furthermore Spider-woman is a great all rounder, so she can do whatever is needed while the guys go around and fight (or thwart). And even if the villain is Stalwart she has plenty of other strategies available at hand.
Also since you'll be in alterego to play suit up, her ability pairs well with Hulk if need should arise to use him.
The rest is just to give a support, help Ironlad to stay around longer.
Enraged can be used on an ally, since it should always be a support.
Brute Force is here for two main reason: 1 to deal with pesky toughs which could hinder the strategy but mainly as a bank: it's a cheap aspect card that stays there, giving you + 1 to all stats right away. But maybe you won't need to attack that turn and focus on thwarting. Next turn, even if you have played no aspect card, you still will have a +1 attack as an option. Plus it's stackable with itself.
Argument could be made that these could be swapped for red events, maybe Aggressive Conditioning and 2 x The Power of Aggression, and so on... It's all down to personal preference, plus i wanted to try cards that normally don't leave the folder.
I think it's a very strong deck and is actually quite fun to play, also gives some wiggle room for adjustments and of course improvements (I cap myself at 41, but at 44-45 you could really go wild).
Let me know!
Love this! Excited to try this out!
