Important! This deck is designed for multiplayer:

  • During the first few rounds, you’ll need to rely on your teammates while you work through at least 1–2 Labors before you can fully contribute to the table. Once you’re set up, however, you’ll more than repay the favor.
  • Remember that the role of this deck is doing damage! You really need a partner to manage thwart activities...

Hercules is an incredibly powerful hero! Once you get his Labors under control, he becomes unstoppable. This deck is built to clear his Labors as quickly as possible so you can shift gears and start dealing massive damage to the villain in the following rounds.

Defeat the Hydra Probably the easiest Labor to handle. Use all the attack events in the deck, along with ready effects, to maximize your damage output. There are very few minions with more than 6 HP, so you will most likely need to rely on the Hydra from the Nemesis set. Don’t hesitate to spend a to prevent the Hydra from regenerating (1 ER for 2 damage is basically a Skilled Strike). Estimated time to clear: 1–3 turns.

Protect Humanity Another very manageable Labor. Use Toe to Toe to force an additional attack during the player phase, allowing you to remove an extra token during the round. This accelerates the clock and keeps your momentum going. Estimated time to clear: 2–3 turns.

Embody Pathos Potentially the most challenging Labor, especially if it shows up first. In this case, it helps to have Hercules’ ATK-boosting upgrades (Aggressive Conditioning, Combat Training and Lion of Olympus) already in play so you can leverage the Assault keyword to remove threat efficiently. Don’t be afraid to use Wisdom of Athena here—even if it costs you three resources—to push through the final threat removal. Estimated time to clear: 1–3 turns.

Once the Labors are completed, you will have invested anywhere from 3 to 9 turns (worst case scenario ever) to reach full power. From that point on, Hercules shifts into high gear and starts delivering huge amounts of damage every round, for example:

Endure the Labors—then unleash the legend.

If you defend Cho with Protect Humanity in play, does excess damage go to Herc or Cho?

Cool deck, btw!

@Jackyl_Lantern thanks!

If you defend Cho with Hercules, you have excess damage only if Hercules drops at 0 HP… but in that case, I think you’d have a different problem! :-)
