Wonder Man doesn't just Defend, he puts on a show! This deck is built around Excelsior and Flow Like Water, plus the many defense cards you can play each turn.

At the start, heavily mulligan to get to your Upgrades and Supports. You don't need Excelsior or Flow Like Water early, because you can still deal plenty of damage without them. Eventually, when you get them down, you'll toy with the villain while preventing / healing a ton of damage.

And since playing Defiance or Preemptive Strike considers you as a Defender afterwards, Excelsior can trigger, allowing you to deal damage while preventing damage.

Note: Excelsior doesn't deal damage until the attack finishes, so keep that in mind.

Because you can stay in Hero form most of the game, you probably don't really need to play Wonder Fans or Signature Sunglasses. However, both pay for themselves with just one flip down, so if that's the only play you got, it shouldn't hurt. Especially if you really need a card and it's under your Ionic Physiology.

You shouldn't have to worry about threat, but you have three cards to deal with it just in case. Bombs Away and Into the Fray are your minion killing cards, just in case.

Although during the end game, if you want to do a bunch of damage to the villain, you can keep a couple minions out, play your defense cards (must be either Disarming Defense or Desperate Defense for most minions) and deal multiple instances of damage to the villain. Even more if you have Flow Like Water out.

That's because it doesn't require you to exhaust Excelsior to use it. As long as you survive those attacks, you deal 2 damage.

The coolest thing is you tuck those defense cards under a clear Ionic Physiology, healing yourself and setting yourself for your attack the next turn. And if you got a Starstruck, it doesn't become completely useless against Steady and Stalwart, still dealing up to 4 damage to the enemy for a single resource.

Now, go forth and defend wonderfully!
