Overview

• Aggression/Spider-Man capitalizes off new cards such as Deft Focus and Martial Prowess, making Swinging Web Kick effectively a 1-cost card for 8 damage.

• Then new cards like Boot Camp, Toe to Toe, Looking for Trouble, etc., allow you to deal a ton of damage for cheap (making it easier to play Webbed Up), while also enabling effective thwarting.

• The deck has been tested successfully against difficult villains (e.g., Heroic Green Goblin).

Strategy

• Spider-Man traditionally struggles with threat, but cards like Into the Fray, Looking for Trouble, and newer Aggression allies help mitigate that weakness.

• Once your setup is complete with cost-reduction and resource cards like:

  • Martial Prowess
  • Deft Focus
  • Quincarrier
  • Web-Shooter
  • Avengers Mansion
  • Helicarrier

  you start dealing massive damage for almost no cost.

• For example:

  • Swinging Web Kick can cost 1
  • Toe to Toe can cost 0

Card Combos

• Deft Focus / Martial Prowess / Swinging Web Kick

  • With both supports, Swinging Web Kick becomes a 1-cost attack.

• Toe to Toe + Spider-Sense

  • Combines with Spider-Man’s ability to draw cards.
  • Can deal 5 damage with minimal downside, especially when supported by cards like Backflip.

• Boot Camp + Permanent Allies

  • Turns allies like Black Cat, Bug, and Tigra into strong, persistent attackers.

Threat Management

• Spider-Man’s low base thwart (1) is offset by:

  • Allies like Brawn, Sentry, and Bug
  • Events like Looking for Trouble and Into the Fray

• Chase Them Down becomes easier to trigger due to cheap attack events.

• Spider-Tracer synergy is key for removing threat while defeating minions.

Defense

• Spider-Man excels defensively.
• Combos like Toe to Toe + Webbed Up + Backflip mitigate damage.
• Allies (including Hulk) can absorb attacks when needed.

Other Card Considerations

• Adding another copy of Into the Fray is viable, though not strictly necessary.
