Gunboat Diplomacy is a silly strong strong event in Marvel Champions so who better to use it than The Regeneratin Degenerate? Exploit his ridiculous ability to take damage but not die in combining Swift Retribution with Great Responsibility, forcing the villain to scheme, taking the threat as damage, dealing damage (but not the same damage) to the villain. One step forward, two steps back, that's the Deadpool shuffle.

But when he dies, which he will, flip to alter-ego and use Vigilante Training to shuffle a justice event back into the deck. Boost our hero's health pool with Heroic Conditioning and Endurance to get more output from Yoo-Hoo. Maximum Effort, and This Card is Fire. Draw into these cards with IPAC or Weapon X. With a higher hit point pool, Down Time improves recovery.
Mission Training can raise the THW stat for any ally after Children of the Atom is in play. With acceleration tokens accumulating on the main scheme, Cable is a key target for this upgrade then triggering Gunboat Diplomacy. Deathlok is another choice target since he grabs Mission Training from the discard pile for himself when he enters play. Gambit can potentially have a 3 or 4 THW stat with a lucky card pull from the encounter deck. Use Triage to heal allies.
With all allies being X-Men now they can thwart Generation X late game to grab an event for a big finish.
