Innate Reflexes,
Nightcrawler Bamfs In Harm's Way,
A Ronin defends
To add:
- +1 Ronin
- +1 Innate Reflexes
- +3 In Harm's Way
42 card deck, defends for the whole table. No resource cards needed due to how ridiculously cheap the majority of cards in this deck are. Reaches 10 Defense with your full kit out, which lets In Harm's Way deal 10 damage and remove 10 threat whenever it's in your hand. The Night Nurse helps manage Stun/Confuse on you so that you can actually play the card without it being cancelled due to being stunned or confused.
Between Ronin (+1 retaliate), Dauntless (+1 retaliate), Electrostatic Armor (deal 1 damage when you defend), and Kurt's Cutlasses (+1 retaliate)... you're dealing at least 16 damage every villain phase if you're playing a 4 player game with everyone in Hero form.
Symbiote suite helps keep Dauntless online, gives you more stats to play with, and the +1 hand size is well worth the extra encounter card once the table sees that you're a defending machine.
With how much you're defending, Angel's Aerie can easily heal you back to your max health of 22 (full kit) on the rare occasion you need to flip down. If you do have to flip down, Ready for a Fight can get you back into Hero form to take hits for people, though you do have to watch the timing of it - if you are the last player to go, then you won't trigger it until everyone else has already gone through their villain activations. Try your best to time it when you're the First player.
Played this 8 times at Con of Heroes and it was Astonishing how much damage it was able to put out during both the villain and the hero phase, while keeping the whole table safe.
