-His Attacks Are Anything But Basic-
The idea of this deck is to build up Venom's ATK stat, but never use it for basic attacking. So long as you don't use his basic attack you can keep Brute Force stacked and in play. While you may not be using his basic ATK you can still use his stat for Quick Strike to hit for upwards of 7.
No basic attacking means Venom's Pistol's can be used for THW or DEF. That said Specialized training should be used for Surveillance Specialist or Defense Specialist.
Gamora should be a fairly safe bet to hit an event without thinning the deck too much, especially if your weapons are already out
Rocket Raccoon can help blast beefy minions away while venom takes care of the villain or weak minions to trigger more off Moment of Triumph
Groot can help chump on the rounds where you want to use Venom's Pistol's for THW instead of DEF
Face the Past and Firepower are a great combo as Venom's Nemesis is actually multiple symbiotes.

I've built similar decks for Psylocke and, of course, Wonder Man. Never thought about Venom, but flexing Venom's Pistols for THW or DEF makes a lot of sense. Plus, if you could somehow play Firepower, Run and Gun, then Firepower again in a single turn would be bonkers!
