I love tanking in video games. I do not know why...it's just in my soul! This Nightcrawler build has been an absolute blast to play in true solo! It's all about tanking! 3 copies each of Desperate Defense, Riposte and Not Today! along with his base defense boosters is so much of what I love doing in this game! He's also able to deal consistent damage through retaliate and Excelsor as well as draw extra cards through Unflappable and Change of Fortune. The only card I do not currently own for this deck is The X-Jet so I am running a proxy of the card. It does cost 3 to get out which is very pricey, but I love how it is then able to get me a Bamf! from my graveyard each round for the rest of the game with Nightcrawler's ability.
I was originally running 3 copies, and then down to 2 copies of both Jump Flip and Side Step...but I just did not like the cards at all! This build of Nightcrawler is ALL about blocking and preventing damage in the first place. Jump Flip and Side Step just do not play into the strategy at all. They are nice cards when I'm facing off a lot of minions though and just can't consistently block everything being thrown my way...and for that reason I will add these cards back into my deck as needed depending on the scenarios I'm facing.
