This is a deck that can answer a lot of problems, and leans into the Ronin archetype. As a hero without a signature ally and with a high base DEF, Groot is a natural fit for the package of cards.

- In Harm's Way gives you great output to manage the board.
- Army of One and Stand Alone are cheap ways to ready, so you can make use of your growth counters with
- Since your basic activations can be really good with your signature upgrades, readying is really helpful. But the addition of The Best Offense... makes them even better!
- Taunt combos well into Stand Alone and your big DEF, allowing you to draw a lot of cards!
