"Don't put all of your eggs in one basket", they say. But they also say "kill two birds with one stone"...
This deck puts all of its eggs into Hulk's basket to make it heavy enough to yeet into a Minion and the Villain.
With all of his +1 ATK Upgrades that stick around, Hulk has 6 ATK... but this isn't much use on low HP Minions. He can apply excess damage to the Villain with Hulk Smash, but he needs a more reliable option. Enter the Hand Cannon.
His allies are the ribbons tied to Hulk's basket. Bug pings Toughs that otherwise foil him. Grant Ward poses no risk to Hulk's colossal HP and REC. Nick Fury gives Limitless Strength a good target, turning resources into the draw he lacks. Moon Girl shows up late to the party and draws at least 2 cards once Ingenuity and Banner's Laboratory is on the board.
Speaking of Banner's Laboratory: it's important. It's Ingenuity and Down Time all in one. An Encounter effect that discards it would be devastating. Front Organization is a card I never thought I'd consider, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Hulk is an older Hero, but that makes The Abomination an older Nemesis. A 6 ATK Hulk can dismiss The Abomination before he's a problem, making Face the Past pure card draw.
Cards to consider doubling up on:
- Blood Rage
- Counterattack, which takes an 8 REC from Hulk and turns it into 6+ damage late game
Other options:
- Symbiote Suit for additional +1
- Upgrade that adds overkill for 0 cost + Suprise Move to get card draw from killing it
- Quick Strike gives more Crushing Blows
- Drop Kick gives damage and a stun for fists
- Spider-Girl stuns and confuses minion so you can wait 2 turns to fight it
- Moment of Triumph heals equal to excess damage
- Shark-Girl gets +1 attack for each attachment on a Villain (good if leaning into Counterattack more)
