Blind Lawyer Ultimate Scryer

GAMEPLAY VERSUS EXPERT RONAN

GAMEPLAY VERSUS EXPERT VENOM GOBLIN

2 HANDED GAMEPLAY VERSUS EXPERT KINGPIN

This deck is a custom deckbuild request from my channel member, Sean to take on the scenarios in the Fear No Evil expansion!

In the playthrough against Expert Ronan, we were able to come back after 2x Fanaticism, Assault, and Gang Up on turn 1…

Alter-Ego

One of the biggest parts to the character of Daredevil is Matt Murdock and his identity-specific cards in Marvel Champions do a great job of representing that. Karen Page is a crazy powerful support that allows Daredevil to make his deck more consistent shuffling in the best card every turn while also drawing a card in alter-ego. Sister Maggie is an incredible healing card on par with Aunt May giving Daredevil all the recovery that he needs as he takes tons of damage in hero form with his Man without Fear upgrade and needing to protect Elektra all the time. To capitalize off these hyper-efficient hero cards, this deck has tons of ways to help Matt flip down safely.

Scry Lawyer

Even though Daredevil is blind, his senses allow him to see everything. We have a heavy scrying deck with Blindfold and Gambit to give Matt access to his alter-ego when his enemies aren't susceptible to confuses with Blindspot, Eros, and Nelson and Murdock. Flip down every other turn for bigger turns in hero form!

Manifold & Focus the Senses

Focus the Senses is one of the best side schemes in the game and it doesn't go into the victory display! Manifold can tutor this to our hand and Chance Encounter can bring Manifold back each time the attached scheme is defeated.

Status Effects

Daredevil's senses have versatility in what they can attach to and when they attach to schemes you don't have to defeat the scheme, just remove the last threat making it work for the main scheme. However, the Nelson and Murdock support and Stealth Training upgrade only works off of defeated side schemes. Because of this, Daredevil wants a constant influx of side schemes so we have One Way or Another and player side schemes to fill that gap when we need the stun or confuse. If the villain can't be stunned or confused, Nelson and Murdock/Stealth Training won't see as much play (it'll still work for minions) but the deck is completely functional without those 2 cards.

Deft Focus

Best auto-include card for Daredevil to play 1 sense every turn for free!

More Hit Points

Daredevil has quick and strong thwarting with his Superior Taste sense so the +1 THW isn't as useful for him, but the +3 hit points is great for all the damage that Matt takes in a single game from the Man without Fear. Endurance is the perfect cheap hit point increase that Matt wants.

Oh wow, this is really close to a decklist I posted a few weeks ago! marvelcdb.com

I’m a big fan of your decks and your gameplay videos, so it’s pretty cool for me to see how close I came to something that you’d build. Thanks for all the great content!

@hotelfoxtrot dude the decks are nearly identical down to Generation X! Cool to see we were basically on the same wavelength on this - i heavily considered Turn the Tide too and just cut it out due to deck space. Glad you’re enjoying the content thank you for the kind words :)

How do you feel about Disguise? I find that's been useful for triggering Nelson and Murdock.

@ttoida Disguise is a great on-demand way for Matt to thwart in alter-ego and confuse with Nelson and Murdock like you said. The reason i left it out was because i felt he had enough alter-ego thwarting since all of his thwart events can be used in alter-ego, Karen can shuffle them back in the deck, and I found it valuable to use my basic recovery when flipped down
