Deadpool - Die or Live Dangerously

Deadpool has a plan.

Unfortunately for everyone else, that plan involves making the encounter deck more dangerous on purpose.

This Pool deck wants encounter card icons in play, then turns those icons into cards, damage, defense, and bigger weapons.

Live Dangerously

Live Dangerously is the fastest way to turn the engine on.

It brings all four encounter icons into play and gives Deadpool +2 hand size while it remains there.

Yes, the villain gets more dangerous.

That's the point.

"I Got This" can now trigger all four effects, giving you damage, threat removal, an ally ready, and a card draw for only 1 resource.

Barely a Scratch can prevent up to 4 damage for 0.

The encounter icons are supposed to be bad.

Deadpool disagrees.

Getting Hurt Is Part of the Plan

Deadpool has plenty of health and recovery tools, so taking damage can become another resource.

This Card is Fire rewards you for the damage Deadpool has already taken, while Healing Factor helps keep the experiment going.

Symbiote Suit pushes the idea even further with more HP, better stats, and another card in hand.

Dangerous?

Absolutely.

But that's why Wade likes it.

Armed to the Teeth

Keep Bazooka and Laser Swords in your collection for Armed to the Teeth.

There is no reason to clog the deck with expensive weapons when Armed to the Teeth can put them directly into play.

Bazooka turns your encounter icons into immediate ranged damage.

Laser Swords turns them into ATK, making Live Dangerously particularly ridiculous when all four icons are showing.

Deadpool's cheaper weapons can handle normal business while Armed to the Teeth brings out the expensive toys when needed.

Maximum Effort

The rest of the deck embraces the same philosophy: take risks, exploit the consequences, heal when necessary, and keep attacking.

This isn't a deck trying to make the encounter deck safe.

Safe is boring.

Put the icons in play. Draw more cards. Grab a bigger weapon.

Live dangerously. It's somebody else's problem.
