Magik - Limbo Brute Force

Magik can manipulate the top of her deck.

So this deck gives her something worth cheating into play.

Rather than chaining lots of small attacks, this Aggression build uses Magik's economy to throw big, efficient attacks, then uses Stepping Disc to ready and manipulate the deck all over again.

Hit Hard

Honed Technique is the centerpiece of the Aggression package.

Full-Body Charge becomes a massive 12-damage attack, while Into the Fray can deal 9 damage to a minion and convert the excess into threat removal.

Bloodgem helps provide the mental resource needed to trigger Honed Technique once the engine is running, while Martial Prowess helps pay for the constant stream of attacks.

Hit Again

Not everything needs Honed Technique.

Savage Strike gives Magik's basic attack +6 ATK and Piercing. Then Stepping Disc can ready her and put a Magik card from the discard pile back on top of the deck.

Attack. Open a portal. Attack again.

Very subtle.

Feed No Quarter

With 24 Aggression cards, No Quarter has excellent odds of turning excess minion damage into more cards.

That's also why the deck keeps its ally count extremely low. Magik doesn't need an army cluttering the deck when she can simply keep drawing more red cards and continue the assault herself.

Into the Fray and Chase Them Down make those same minions useful for controlling threat, giving Aggression several ways to keep the main scheme under control without slowing down.

The Right Resources

Chase Them Down also serves another important purpose: its mental resource helps maintain enough mental icons in the deck to reliably play Honed Technique.

Once Honed Technique is down, Bloodgem helps fuel it.

Everything has a job.

Brute Force from Limbo

Magik could play clever little combinations.

She could also open a portal, appear directly in front of the villain, and hit them with a sword.

Turns out Limbo is an excellent shortcut to violence.
