This Daredevil Leadership build is built around turning Hulk into a permanent scaling damage engine.
The plan is to find Hulk early with Suit Up or Call for Backup, then mostly leave him alone. Every time the villain attacks Daredevil, Hulk gains another Rage counter and his ATK keeps climbing.
Once Hulk is online, the deck has three ways to cash in that huge ATK without burning through his HP:
-
Teamwork lets Daredevil borrow Hulk’s growing ATK.
-
Unified Strike lets Hulk attack with Daredevil’s ATK added while avoiding consequential damage.
-
Defensive Formation and Ready for Action give Hulk Tough so he can make normal attacks without losing health.
Inspired supports the Suit Up package. Suit Up can find Hulk plus Inspired, and Inspired can either be played on Hulk, used to help pay for him, or placed on permanent allies like Elektra or Misty Knight. The one copy of Sidearm is there to deal with retaliate.
Valkyrie is basically Hulk insurance. Once Hulk has accumulated several Rage counters, keeping him alive becomes more important than squeezing immediate value out of another ally.
The multiplayer trick is where this really gets nasty: defend FOR your teammates once Hulk is out. If Daredevil takes over as defender, the villain is attacking you, so Hulk gets another Rage counter. In two-player, that can potentially turn one Rage counter per villain phase into two.
That is also why Down Time is here alongside Sister Maggie. Daredevil is intentionally volunteering to take extra attacks, so efficient recovery becomes part of the Hulk engine. Heal hard in alter-ego, flip back, and start intercepting attacks again.
Protection is tempting because it has more ways to encourage or survive extra villain attacks, but it has two major problems for this specific Hulk plan. First, you lose Suit Up and Call for Backup, so your single copy of Hulk is much harder to find early. Second, Protection has a much harder time repeatedly using Hulk’s enormous ATK without chewing through his HP. Leadership solves both problems at once: it gets Hulk into play more reliably, then gives you multiple ways to exploit his scaling ATK without killing him.
That’s really why Leadership fits the concept so well: Protection may build Rage faster, but Leadership gets Hulk online more consistently and lets you actually keep using the monster you created.
