Ms. Marvel is already great at getting extra value out of her events, and this deck leans hard into that strength to become a thwarting machine. The star of the show is Shrink, which boosts the threat removal on her thwarting events and lets us clear schemes at a ridiculous rate. With a few key upgrades in play, Ms. Marvel can take enormous chunks out of the threat on the table, even in a four-player game.
Shrink the Threat
Shrink is the key upgrade here. It increases the threat removed by Ms. Marvel's thwarting events, turning cards like Multitasking and Even the Odds into extremely efficient ways to clean up the board.
Multitasking is already a great deal, but with Shrink in play, it can remove eight threat for one resource. Even the Odds is particularly impressive in a four-player game, where Shrink can help it remove six threat from every side scheme. With three copies in the deck, that's a lot of potential threat removal.
Crisis Averted is another major piece of the strategy. Pair it with Overwatch and Shrink, and you can remove a staggering 16 threat through the combination. That's enough to take a serious bite out of even the most troublesome main scheme, while potentially clearing additional threat through Overwatch.
The key is to get Shrink into play early and then make every thwarting event count. Rather than chipping away at schemes one at a time, Ms. Marvel can clear huge amounts of threat with relatively few cards and resources.
Keeping the Events Coming
Of course, the deck needs to do more than just play powerful events. Ms. Marvel wants to keep finding the right cards and have the resources to play them, so the deck includes several supports to help with consistency.
Aamir Khan, Bruno Carrelli, and Nakia Bahadir provide familiar Ms. Marvel support, helping her find cards, store useful options, and make her turns more efficient. Champions Mobile Bunker and Helicarrier give us further help with card access and paying for events.
Skilled Investigator is another nice inclusion. Since the deck is focused on clearing side schemes, it gives us an opportunity to draw a card when we defeat one. It's a natural fit for a deck that wants to keep removing threat and cycling through its options.
The Rest of the Deck
Even with all that thwarting, Ms. Marvel still has some tools to contribute in other ways. Big Hands provides damage when the villain needs to be dealt with, while Sneak By adds another thwarting option. Wiggle Room helps keep Ms. Marvel alive, which is important when we want to stay in hero mode and keep firing off events.
The allies provide additional utility, with Manifold, Sentry, Jessica Jones, and Red Dagger offering support on the board. The player side schemes give us more options to develop our setup and take advantage of the deck's ability to clear schemes.
Miss No Threat is built to make threat disappear. Shrink turns Ms. Marvel's thwarting events into powerful tools, while Overwatch and Crisis Averted create the potential for huge threat-removal turns. It's a particularly satisfying deck in multiplayer, where the ability to clear side schemes and take big chunks out of the main scheme can make a real difference for the whole table.
