"You didn't see that coming?" - Quicksilver: Avengers: Age of Ultron

When I first glanced at Quicksilver, I didn't think I would love playing him. Then I built myself a Protection deck and maaaan... it's so fun to play.

The whole deck is built around Quicksilver's Super Speed ability. As it is once per phase, you can defend every turn and when you do so, you trigger loads of stuff happening to the bad guys.

Because 4 DEF (after set-up) might not be always enough to block all the damage, I have included 3x Energy Barrier to reflect any excess damage.

Black Widow and Nova in this deck are treated as support cards. You get them out and you use their abilities. If you are really desperate, then you can use one of them to block a punch for you as well.

Jocasta is there to pick up your Desperate Defense from the discard pile and hold it for you until you need it. This way you can defend twice during the Villain phase and still be ready for game during the Players phase. Nerves of Steel only purpose is to let you play Desperate Defense for free.

Bait and Switch is just perfect for the deck as it will remove 4 threats from a scheme and on top of that it will trigger all of your upgrades abilities.

The deck does not have a built-in treachery interrupt, and because the chance is higher to get one thanks to Symbiote Suit, Get Behind Me! will prevent this treachery from executing and will give you what want, another way for you to defence against the Villain's attack.

At the same time, Symbiote Suit will allow you to play Dauntless more securely and will provide you with a needed boost for your stats and hand size. Together with Avengers Mansion and Unflappable you will have 8 cards hand every round.

The deck is not the easiest to execute, but really fun to play.
