The Art of Agile Defense brought to you by the Ragin' Cajun
First focus on getting at least a couple of upgrades out like Gambit's Guild Armor and Nerves of Steel. This will give you some freedom to be able to attack AND defend each round.
If schemes start to look like they're getting out of control, you can switch over to his Alter Ego side for the Thief Extraordinaire ability to nip that in the bud. Even if you exhaust for it you should still be able to do some damage the next turn with his attack events like Charged Card and Royal Flush. Plus Side Step and Flow Like Water will help whittle the villain down as you go.
Slowly but surely, you'll nab the W and ol' Remy will stand relatively unscathed.
