Ant-Man V Zola for GetUpandGame!PerfectMatchup

Hi welcome to the thirty third in a series of decks I plan to build directly influenced by the amazing Get Up and Game! Perfect Match-Up series found here: https://youtu.be/1I2q3sT6FoA Please check out the channel and the video since I thought it was an amazing gift to the community and it inspired me to start playing Champions more regularly.

My goal with this series is to create a unique deck inspired by each challenge match-up in the video using all the suggested cards plus some of my own to create a deck that any player can use to check out the challenge. If you’re missing some cards from a deck please ask in the comments and I’ll do my best to find replacements from your collection so that you can have fun too! Hopefully I can build a deck that can beat the villain on both standard and expert. I’ll try to document any tweaks I made while playing the deck too.

For our next matchup we have probably my favorite hero to play in the game, Ant-man going up against Zola and his army of minions. I love the way he flips between his two hero forms and all the benefits he gets. I won my first Standard and Expert games no problem and then had a devastating loss in my second Expert game. It just goes to show no game of Champions is a sure thing. I made some poor set up decisions early on and then right when I started to get back on track, my nemesis showed up and overwhelmed me! Thankfully I redeemed my self in my next game to take my second Expert victory.

This deck primarily just uses Ant-man's built in kit to win. Get your Army of Ants down early and you'll be able to handle any tough status cards and even some minions. Then you really just want to get down Giant Strength so you can use your Leading Blows along with Repurpose on your spent Energy Barriers to just hit multiple times for tons of damage. No minion or villain can withstand it. Ant-Man's Helmet, Energy Barrier, The Night Nurse, What Doesn't Kill Me and Pym Particles will help keep you healed up from the retaliate and quick strikes.

Clea is there to take a punch for you and Iceman and Victor Mancha help with minion control. All in all you're in good hands with Ant-man once you get the rhythm down of flipping back and forth at the right time. Ant-man is an incredible damage dealer so you should have Zola defeated in no time! Enjoy!
