Say it loud!
Another Bishop deck but this one is more up-tempo to keep pace with Expert Four Horseman skirmishes.
One of Bishop's main weaknesses (amongst his many strengths) is his inability to have the right resource sinks at the right time. Every Bishop turn feels like a fun challenge to efficiently use the abundance of resources he accumulated over the villain phase but some times I would end up with no ways to spend them. Much of this challenge requires timing of card draw (to have those resource sinks in-hand) or as some do, increase card draw to increase resource sink options. I think another way is to control the timing of when you are able to spend resources. Enter Black Panther ally.
I always wished the Black Panther hero was more enjoyable (just kind of stale setup and go), but the Black Panther ally is very interesting. He grabs a leadership event which can be the very op Make the Call or the semi-op "Suit Up". This allows you to always hold a potential resource sink and you can basically choose when to trigger it. The ideal first turn is to mulligan a Make the Call and use "Suit Up" to grab Black Panther. He will pull MtC to be used at any point when you get attacked and have abundance of resources with Bishop's "Energy Absorption". Triage and Ghost-Spider will be the primary MtC targets (once they are in discard pile) and Randall is close 3rd when threat removal is needed. Triage gives Bishop much needed healing and Ghost-Spider is another option which gives control over resource spending (will get event when you decide she can leave play). Lastly, turns with Bishop feel very dynamic. Even though there is basically no card draw in this deck, you will still be playing allies from all over the place with ease. When you think all your options are exhausted, don't forget to flip down and get either more resources or more resource sinks with "Temporally Displaced". Enjoy!
