Cherry Snow Cones

"Cherry" because it's aggression (red) and "snow cones" because I sometimes say cone instead of clone when talking about a Snow Clone.

I originally built this deck for an Expert Sandman video to get some clone-on-clone action!

My first thought was having an ally who could shovel a ton of sand off of City Streets while also taking some Indirect Damage from Sandman, and since Wolverine heals 1 every turn he was my guy. With Attack Training attached he can shovel 4 sand per round and has 6 HP, but if there's no sand, he can attack for 4 instead!

The rest is just "good stuff" for X-MEN, with Shark-Girl being especially good with Iceman and an Attack Training.

Triage would have been good to heal Wolverine as well, and Surprise Move & Take That! would have added more damage, but I think Iceman is one of only a few heroes I really try hard to stick to 40 cards so you have better odds of hitting an ICE card with Cryokinetic Perception!

With that said, I could probably trade one copy of The Power in All of Us for Triage and both Toe to Toe for two Take That!. As the deck stands now, I don't really need two copies of The Power of Aggression!

No Game Time? If feels like an "auto-include" when running three Training cards!

@Champion not this time, for two reasons:

  • Of course I'd love to ready Shark-Girl and Wolverine, but this deck doesn't really need to do that (but it could benefit from it of course)
  • I just didn't have room for them. I could add three copies and make it a 43 card deck, but I hate going over 40 in Iceman because of Cryokinetic Perception!

However, you could cut Endurance, X-Gene and one Toe to Toe for three copies of Game Time and I don't think it would hurt the deck.

I feel that with Iceman having such an expensive kit, it would maybe be worth having at least one Team Building Exercise? It would trigger most of his kit and the X-men allies so has a lot more targets than The Power of Aggression so could maybe replace one of those?

I'm really liking the look of this deck though and have yet to try Ice-Man in Aggression, looks really fun!

@Swarles90 yeah, Team-Building Exercise is very good in Iceman for the X-MEN and ICE traits! I've played him in every real aspect and this is the first deck I haven't included it!

I think for this deck it would be easy to replace Boot Camp with Team-Building Exercise! Although I agree that as written the deck doesn't really need two The Power of Aggression, I like having them because of Wolverine LOL. I've played this deck 7 or 8 times and only played Boot Camp once, and even then I snuck it in with Build Support rather than playing it.

It honestly could have come down to me forgetting to include Team-Building Exercise or maybe I (mistakenly) cut it to get down to 40, which doesn't matter too much in most heroes, but I like to stick to 40 in Iceman.

Whatever the reason for me not including it, good call! It's definitely a card which should be included in Iceman!

@Swarles90 Those links worked in the preview LOL, but you can find all of them except for the Protection build by clicking my name and then clicking on Published Decklists.

@SoloMarvelChampion Thanks for the reply! Yeah true that it could also replace Boot Camp for sure. Having it replace The Power of Aggression does mean it's another set-up piece and so improves the odds of getting an Ice card off Cryokinetic Perception. I've played some Ice Man decks where you run two Team Building Exercise and that works really well! Think I'll give that a try replacing one The Power in All of Us and one The Power of Aggression and see how that runs!

Will check out your other decks as well!
