This deck is extremely risky. It can generate acceleration tokens at a pace similar to [Deadpool](/card/44001a. If playing this is a multiplayer game, I would ask how the table feels about it first, and hope that a second player also plays Justice with you.

This was my first attempt at a Scarlet Witch deck. Her core deck functions so differently than other decks, that it was difficult for me to figure out how I wanted to build her. What I did know is that I needed to thwart to overcome what I thought would be many acceleration icons. Spoilers, I was right!

The theme that I came up with was "utility". I used Brains Over Brawn to deal 2-3 damage per turn when I thwarted. Turn the Tide is a guaranteed 3 damage if you need that instead. What I found, was that Brains Over Brawn was often used to pay for another card during my turn. (This was mostly because Zola kept stunning me and paying 2 to clear the stun felt bad when I could wait for a Turn the Tide and do it for free.

Basic Spell performed magically! (pun intended). This was put in to keep me in Hero form when required as well as to provide another source of consistent damage. It was more often that not played to heal 3 damage, but the final turn, I was able to cast 2 of them for a combined 6 damage.

Basic Spell and Turn the Tide are so key to the strategy, that I would even take both events to 3 copies and run 43 cards. This will be my Next Evolution of this deck (pun intended).

Our allies perform an important function in this deck. Wiccan, Wraith, Cypher provide control or card advantage. Professor X and Nick Fury provide instant swings in momentum by allowing me to set up for future turns or extending the current turn. Professor X thwarts like crazy, confuses the villain, and then soaks up an attack before we flip to Alter-Ego. Nick Fury draws us 3 cards and extends the turn. He also provides great base stats and soaks up an attack.

Outside of Scarlet Witch's deck being strong, there is not much that this deck does to synergize with her existing cards. It almost functions as two separate decks. Scarlet Witch's deck causes you to run through the encounter deck at a rapid pace, so being able to thwart and attack in the same action is absolutely necessary. By combining the two actions with Brains Over Brawn and Turn the Tide, I felt almost like I was playing two-handed solo.
