I was thinking recently about Cable, Bodyslide, all the heroes that would love to go sliding around with Cable. Generation X I think is a recent card that really helps to add consistency to accomplishing this, and was what really got me thinking about this! This is 100% a multiplayer deck! With that in mind I made a tier list of who would most like to Bodyslide with Cable to those that don't care or would simply rather not.

This is based just on that hero's ability and identity specific cards. Obviously there are Alter Ego only cards in the deck building pool that love Bodyslide as well. Hello Hall of Heroes

name

There may be some disagreement with the list above but I would challenge you to pick some heroes and play alongside this deck and see how it goes! Here's a Black Panther deck I made and ran along side this: https://marvelcdb.com/deck/view/842941

Bodyslide, Bodyslide, Bodyslide!

How are we going to Bodyslide so much? Well there's a few ways:

  1. Generation X - this aforementioned card can grab Bodyslide whenever we like.
  2. Mutant Education - Shuffles 2 identity specific cards, so Bodyslide obviously and whatever else you need.
  3. X-Bunker - eventually in Multiplayer this should at a minimum search the top 5+ cards and that helps you find Bodyslide.
  4. Card Draw - need to find a card? Draw more cards! One Way or Another, Skilled Investigator, Professor, Clear the Area, Wolfsbane, Moira MacTaggert, Mutant Education combined with X-Mansion.

Then yea, just try to sync up with the other heroes in the game. Being that Bodyslide is an event and can be played in either form you can simply hold onto it and play it out of turn when the time is right.

I hope you all have a great time exploring this, and I will leave you with an achievement challenge:

Achievement - Play Bodyslide twice in one turn

Deck modifications - At higher player counts it may be better to run Even the Odds over Clear the Area.

Hot d***, I’m in to do some bodyslidin’! This looks soo good. I don’t think I’ve seen Cable in a Justice support role! I can’t wait to play this deck!!

We all flip for side schemes!

Was just in the middle of building a deck around this idea haha. Better list than I thought of though haha. Curious if you considered his team up for this deck?

@AmbientFellow I did have it in there at one point but felt a little fantasy Christmas land to hit. Dazzler and Wolfsbane are higher priority targets. Deadpool ally pulls double duty by providing a wild for Lay Down the Law!

@andyr missed this but hit me up and we can play a game together sometime!

I love this, I hope you're at my table at the con!

Love support Cable! After playing War Machine with Cable at the table, I'm not sure I'd ever play him again without Cable. This is a cool take on that support!

I keep thinking I am hanging up Cable so that I can move on to other hero's... Then someone will post a deck like this that gets me thinking and makes me take him down off the wall and play again.

I immediately copied this deck and made one to try out with friends.

How do you pull off Astonishing? I feel like it sits on the table for too long and blocks spots other PSS can fill.

I also have never felt the need for 2 copies of Skilled investigator. Is there a reason I am missing? There is so much other card draw in the deck that I can wait a a bit to get it on table rather than having a forced burn in my hand.

@Dayspring you thwart it haha

The response is just another way to remove threat from it but there’s nothing stopping you from just thwarting it.

Oh and you are meant to play Skilled Investigator on others. You could play one on yourself and one on another or just give both to other two people.

Mind = blown. Yup. Totally thought you could ONLY remove by defending. I have discounted this PSS for no good reason. Good point on playing the other copy on a companion. Not used to that move either. Good way to boost fellow player with off turn card and thin your deck.

I invite you to my Con of Heroes table, even if I'm playing Star-Lord
