BEGINNER SERIES NOTE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These decks are designed for friends new to the game, while also being fun to play for a veteran. For context, my professional background is in training teachers in how students learn as a school administrator and professor, so I am actually building these decks using my background in educational pedagogy, not just what's easiest. I would rather people learn to love playing this game in the same manner I would want them to love taking part in my class. The last section in the guide will actually break down the educational rational of the deck, much in the same way a teacher would do a unit plan.

HOW TO PLAY

NOTE: For a new player, the following steps should be printed out so that they are in complete control of their deck and do not need input from other players. The whole point is to learn!

VILLAIN PHASE

- STEP 0a: During the Villain Phase use Energy Conversion and Bishop's Uniform to mitigate damage, gain back whatever Resources are laying in the discard, and heal back some health.

- STEP 0b: Defend if you feel it's necessary, take the attack to the face, or feel free to use an Ally as a shield.

HERO PHASE

- STEP 1: If possible, burn through the deck using Call for Aid to burn through our deck in hopes that it triggers Digging Deep or White Fox.

- STEP 2: Use Bishop's Rifle to hit the villain or take out a pesky minion. Feel free to bump it up with Sharpshooter

- STEP 3a: Play a Support, Upgrade, or New Recruits on to the board for constant benefits. Prioritize in order Avengers Mansion, Bishop's Uniform, Bishop's Rifle, Symbiote Suit

- Step 3b: Play an Ally card based on your resources and circumstance. If it makes sense, Lockjaw can be played from the discard pile. Do not play White Fox from your hand unless you will have to skip Step 4 or cannot play Lockjaw.

- Step 4: Play Concussive Blast, Command Authority, or juice up Super-Charged.

- Step 5: Use any basic actions available from your Hero or Allies.

*_DON'T FLIP UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO!!!_**

EDUCATORS NOTES

This deck is a case study in Sequential Learning, or learning through a Step-by-Step process. Think of it like reading the directions of a package of Cup Noodles. The order of operation matters because missing a step can mess up the whole process. This deck is a perfect example as it emphasizes gaining resources from the deck and discard, then using abilities to take advantage of them being in your hand. Only after this is done should they be spent on Supports, Upgrades, or Allies.

The deck ignores any theme by throwing in random allies from across Marvel spectrum and utilizing Symbiote Suit for the +1 hand size and major stat boost. The entire point is to follow the outlined steps, and realize why each steps progression matters. This is also why the deck avoids chained together events or triggers.
