Captain Marvel drops Da Bomb
With Captain Marvel's economy, playing Da Bomb (or 'Pool Inspection) shouldn't be a problem! It's not an attack, which is something I completely missed before, but it will probably take out some allies in the process, so keep the "splash damage" in mind. Thwart or Attack with your allies before dropping Da Bomb!
Captain Marvel has loads of healing to ensure the 'Pool resource cards are worth at least 2 and often 3 resources:
- 4 Recovery
- Hero Rechannel Action
- Healing Factor
- Tic-Tac-Toe
Digging for Da Bomb
Captain Marvel already has the ability to dig for cards with the crazy amount of card draw she has, and Mulligan increases that tremendously! In alter-Ego you might do several things before deciding to play Mulligan:
- Draw with the Command Action
- Draw with Avengers Mansion
- Discard something to Alpha Flight Station to draw 2
- Sink some into Energy Channel
- Still can't find what you want? Play Mulligan and trash it all to draw 6 more cards...
Of course, you're cycling through your deck REALLY quickly, so that's not always advisable (but it's fun).
Same goes for Hero form:
- Spend for Rechannel to heal and draw, or sink it into Energy Channel
- Sink some resources into Tic-Tac-Toe
- Draw with Avengers Mansion
- Replace a card with Alpha Flight Station
- Ready with Stick-To-Itiveness
- THEN play Mulligan and trash it all to draw 5 more cards...
This deck has been fun, but it's not overly powerful. It's just fun, if that makes sense. It went 0-2 against Expert Klaw (The second loss was really bad) but then 3-0 easily against Standard Klaw.
Da Bomb was great to fire off and Mulligan helped a couple times to find just one ally I could block with to preserve my HP.
With that said, if I'm going to play Captain Marvel I have two other decks I'll choose first:

I also need to get Not my Responsibility and Get in Front of Me! in the deck! |
Love this--if anyone can afford it, it's Carol!
