NOTE: I built this deck as a theory deck and posted it without testing it. I'm pretty sure it works, but I don't stand behind this deck list.
I see new weapon support come out, I pair it with Black Panther. What can I say? I'm a simple creature with simple desires such as dealing 9 damage for 1 cost without losing exhaust abilities. Get ready to gear up, get a cup of cocoa, exhaust Quincarrier to play a one cost card (Firepower), one shot an enemy, and heal to full with Moment of Triumph.
The Basic Idea
Firepower is a cool card, but the weapons archetype has the same problem. You exhaust weapons to deal damage and lose out on your weapon's exhaust ability. Black Panther can bypass this problem by using his Panther Claws and Energy Daggers which are searchable on turn 1, weapon traited, and don't have an exhaust ability. So it's a win win! I also threw in 3 copies of Pulse Grenade which is my favorite card. It's not only here because I like it though, it's genuinely good. Black Panther has a huge economy, so 2 cost to play an upgrade isn't hard for him to afford. The Pulse Grenades help you ensure you have enough damage on the final push, and are also weapon traited cards without exhaust abilities. This means you'll have 5 weapons out with no exhaust abilities once you're built out and can guarantee a one shot on the villain using cheap events. Firepower will deal 9 damage, and each copy of Wakanda Forever! will deal 6 damage. Combine that with some allies, Plan B and your basic activation with Mean Swing and you have a ridiculous amount of damage at your disposal that you can divide among enemies however you choose!
Stay Safe Along The Way
Since this deck has a win condition once built out, you want to make sure you can actually reach that point without losing. To do that, I added some control cards to the deck. Aggression and Black Panther lack thwarting, so you'll want to lean on your allies to thwart. Snowguard is easy for black panther to afford and you can use the +3 THW option to get a bunch of threat removal. Snowguard also grants protection from overkill. If you're taking on a tough villain like Ronan or Juggernaut, you can use the +5 hp and retaliate option to stay safe. Professor X and Psylocke can confuse the villain and thwart, Sunfire gets rid of nasty attachments, and Nick Fury and Ironheart are Nick Fury and Ironheart.
Your events also provide safety. Into the Fray can be used to simultaneously get rid of a minion and remove threat from the main scheme. you can easily get high overkills by using your Wakanda Forever!, Firepower and allies to leave minions at 1 hp. And to add even more safety, Moment of Triumph can heal you! A fun combo in this deck is to combine Firepower with Moment of Triumph. Since Firepower is a single attack, if you attack a minion that has 1 hp, that attack will deal 8 excess damage, which you can combo with Moment of Triumph to heal for 8!
I hope you enjoy this deck! Black Panther is one of my favorite heroes in the game, so I'm always looking for new cards to play with him.

Aug 23, 2025I don't think you can deal excess damage with multi instance attack adding themselves to heal with moment of triumph, but I have nothing to prove it. |
Aug 24, 2025Bro how did no one see Black Panther upgrades working with at least Mean Swing in the past 50 years |
Aug 25, 2025I love the idea behind this deck. Thanks for posting! I often struggled playing Black Panther because of the length of time it takes to build him out; and then for the outcome to be a little meh. But now we have firepower, it changes everything and gives you a win condition. I made some changes mostly due to my play skill not being that high. I have found that running lower cost allies to protect me and deal with minions, thwarting, etc to be helpful to setup for the end game push. I removed:
Added:
I found this to suit my playstyle better, and to help me to build out more safely without fear of an extra attack encounter card. |

--> Player Ability Type: “An ability labeled as an attack is considered a single attack, even if that attack deals multiple instances of damage.” --> After you attack and defeat… Timing: “The word ‘after’ refers to a game occurrence that just concluded.” --> Excess Damage: "Excess damage is the amount of damage dealt to a character beyond the amount required to defeat it." Hope this can appease your doubts a bit ;-) |
This deck looks really cool! I was just thinking about how Firepower would work great with Black Panther and then I see this deck. Moment of Triumph is a great inclusion - I couldn't figure out how to improve his survivability, in my attempts.
