Spider-Woman "Barrier of Purpose"

This deck is inspired by Jacen Sketch's All you need is a shield and a Yo-Yo deck, which combos Clarity of Purpose with Vibranium Microweave to deal a damage to yourself to generate a resource with Clarity of Purpose, then prevent that damage when you would take it, and send it to an enemy with Vibranium Microweave.

This deck does the same thing using Energy Barrier (this is NOT something I would have thought of if I hadn't seen it in his deck)!

The Allies

I could have gone with Yo-Yo in this deck too, but she's much better in a deck that can ready her, and I didn't have the space for such cards here.

• Captain Marvel is a great target for Reinforced Suit!
• Kid Omega is a cheap ally for whom you can use Clarity of Purpose (or Finesse) for the resource you want for his "kicker".
• Maria Hill needs no introduction.
• Nick Fury will hopefully draw me into more (and different) aspect cards.
• Starhawk can come back to hand every turn, ensuring a Protection play for "Superhuman Agility".
• Warlock can ping off a Tough (even against a Retaliate 1 enemy) or block 1 or 2 ATK minions all day, because you're nearly always going to have available to heal him.

The Events

• Leading Blow is always fun, especially since your Alter-Ego Action lets you see how many boost icons are on the top card of the encounter deck.
• Make the Call gets and important ally back!
• Repurpose is a powerful "buff and ready", especially in combination with Leading Blow! Energy Barriers and Reinforced Suits are TECH, just be aware of an ally's damage if you repurpose their suit. It's fine though to play a suit to get the Leadership buff, thwart or attack for 2, immediately repurpose it for the Protection buff (plus 1 more from the repurposed suit) and thwart or attack for 4!
• Suit Up can find an ally and Clarity of Purpose (or Reinforced Suit if you already have the former).

Call for Backup

Nick Fury is always a tempting target for Call for Backup, but in this deck I'm pretty much grabbing Captain Marvel every time. Once you get a Reinforced Suit on her she'll draw you 5 cards over time and thwart / deal a combination of 10 in the mean time!
