AMERICA'S SHIELD

This deck encapsulates the way I like to play Marvel Champions. The whole time it just feels like you are taunting the villain and it's prefect because that is that this deck ends up being built around: Taunt.

The Engine

So, of course to get things started it is mostly a "Perfect Defense" build, but with some slight variation. This deck tends to keep things moving, even in the hero phase.

Step 1:

Get Captain America's Shield in to play ASAP, defending for 3 is huge early with the added benefit of retaliate 1.

Step 2:

There is no real priority for anything else except getting a consistent engine going. You'll want Energy Barrier and Ops Room to help deflect damage and do some good with the threat and damage.

Step 3:

Keep building until you feel nearly invincible. Getting in Armored Vest will be great to keep damage off and then you can use the Energy Barrier and Ops Room to help you be able to trigger Hard to Ignore and keep yourself healthy for Dauntless to work.

Step 4:

Unflappable keeps card coming in the villain phase and works with Change of Fortune in that regard.

Step 5:

Use Desperate Defense to stay ready and always have a card in hand to discard for Cap's "I can do this all day" ability. The more ready you are the more you can do in the hero phase. This will allow you to safely trigger a Taunt for extra cards and threat + damage.
