This deck is built to turn Hulk from a "discard everything and hope" liability into a precision-guided engine. We're leaning into the "Smart Hulk" persona from Endgame—using Bruce Banner’s intellect and the Justice aspect to control the board until it’s time to deliver that 13-damage handshake.
The Strategy: The "Banner" Loop Hulk's biggest weakness is his 4-card hand size and forced discard. This deck fixes that by forcing a slower, tactical tempo.
- Stay "Puny": Don’t be afraid to sit in Alter-Ego for the first few turns. With Under Surveillance and Beat Cop, you can effectively "Confuse-lock" the villain's progress while you build your board.
- Banner's Lab: Use Banner's Laboratory and Avengers Mansion to dig for your double-resource cards like Limitless Strength.
The Engine: Board Control & Card Draw Justice isn't just about removing threat; it’s about buying the time Hulk needs to find his win conditions.
- Beat Cop: This is your MVP. It removes threat passively, which is vital because Hulk has a 0 THW stat and usually can't afford to exhaust his hero for anything but attacking.
- Assess the Situation: Since you have to discard your hand at the end of your turn anyway, playing this is an "Absolute Win." It saves a slot for next turn, giving you that rare 5-card Hero hand.
- Under Surveillance: This gives you a massive +4 threat buffer on the main scheme, letting you heal in Alter-Ego without worrying about a single "Advance" card ending the game.
The Win Condition: I See This As An Absolute Win Once you have your Helicarrier and Avengers Mansion in play, you’ve hit critical mass. Flip to Hulk with a hand full of Physical resources. Use Hulk Smash to clear the villain's current stage. If any threat is left, use Stealth Strike to punch a minion and clear the way for your next big turn.
It’s a deck that requires patience, but once you’ve got the board locked down with Justice, the villain becomes easy to handle.
If you’re staying in alter-ego, Disguise and Foiled! might fit here too. Fun deck!
