Nebulous Shapes

I played a bit of Hullkling and Gamora at CoH and realized how nice it would be to have Nebula in Hulkling's deck to recur his powerful signature events Shapeshifter Strike and Impersonation. Thus the idea for my first deck using Cameo was born. I have found Hulkling is a great choice for Cameo, as he can always get his shape in to play even after discarding cards from his opening hand.

The deck is pretty straightforward. Get some Avengers allies out to power Earth's Mightiest Heroes as a cheap way of activating your shape of choice. Try to have a Rapid Response on the table as well as Med Lab so that you can bring back your most valuable allies. Med Lab is an especially nice way of getting around Wiccan's restriction of needing to be played from your hand. Between Nebula and Wiccan, you will consistently have access to Hulkling's powerful kit. Additionally, Nebula provides consistent access to events to trigger your shapeshifter upgrade. And when Alien Physiology is out, those events can be played really cheap!

For this deck, I usually go with Armored Shape or Hulk Shape, as the thwart can be nicely controlled by allies and by recursion of Improvisation via Nebula. Another clutch combo is using Iron Lad and Ant-Man together to provide 3 ATK or 3 THW while playing Ant-Man for only 1 resource. Then use First Aid to bring Iron Lad back to full health so they can continue their team-up. First Aid is also another cheap way of firing off your shapeshifter upgrade.

Armored Shape is a great choice as you will want to defend a bit with this deck, since your allies become batteries for other shenanigans. This is especially true if you want to use Med Lab to bring back your two signature allies. However, Rapid Response will also allow you to throw an ally in to the line of fire in a pinch (although try not to use it for Wiccan, since his powerful when-played-from-hand ability won't trigger). I usually use Hulk Shape for the end-of-game push or to deal with some really pesky minions.
