Wolfsbane converts the top card into card draw, giving Magik steady access to the tools she needs. With upgrades that boost their stats and durability, these allies stay on the board longer and keep delivering value turn after turn.

The deck’s namesake card, Gunboat Diplomacy, is the centerpiece of the strategy. It offers powerful control by removing threat and dealing damage, but its real strength is efficiency. For just 1 cost, you convert the combined THW value of the two exhausted characters into both threat removal and attack, effectively turning your thwart stats into damage. Even better, exhausting an ally for Gunboat Diplomacy doesn't give them consequential damage meaning they can survive an additional round.

Children of the Atom ties the ally engine together. With this card you can attach Mission Training to the allies you want and you can trigger Gunboat Diplomacy more easily, making the entire team part of Magik’s diplomatic strike force.
