Before this deck i thought Thor would be a B tier at best. But literally this plays and feels like and an S tier against any bosses that are minion heavy. Super low cost cards an heaps resource generators allows for many big turns.
We played our second game against Zola expert with acronaughts module (super hard and fun) - 4 player (shehulk justice, black panter leadership, captain America aggression and Thor aggression).
Once i flipped over to Thor, the only time i flipped down was twice for an obligation and for hall of heroes once. I estimate in that game
- healed about 35+ damage over course of the game ( averaging around 4 -7 healing every 2nd turn) by maximizing Moment of triumph through Hammer throw / relentless assaults on low health minions and also ignoring retaliate damage from boss while still hitting him for 4 to 7.
- easy to hit with 7 to 8 damage every second turn just from skilled strike and mean swings.
- i was killing around 2 to 4 minions whenever the table was flooded with them. Including easily taking down a 13 hp minion (from zola minion buff cards).
- tough minions on you easily countered with 1 resource Lightning strikes.
- Team building exercise works on near half of ur deck and with God of thunder resource generator allows even small hand to be way more effective as u have nearly effectively 4 free resources per turn.
- easily get hammer back on the board with team building exercise.
- Average hand size of 5 to 7 per turn with 2 turns having over 10+ cards.
MAYBE I WAS LUCKY WITH MY DRAW... but was easily one of the best games i have ever played in Marvel champions.

Feb 09, 2021I think Thor is far better in multiplayer than solo. With his hero ability activated once per phase you should draw 4 extra cards every round in multiplayer. That's why Get over here is great, but useless in solo. Maybe the key is to only play multiplayer with Thor. |

Love it! Some love for Thor!
I lately used Endurance and Down Time with Thor, very good on him, as well as Hall of Heroes. Watch out for Team-Building Exercise, it doesn't stack; I went halfsies with Quincarrier, altought not as cool an option in multiplayer games; Helicarrier is not unique, so maybe better suited.
