As you can see the only Event card added to the ones Groot starts with is Flora and Fauna. So, most of the cards in the deck like Beat Cop and Surveillance Team are designed to allow Groot to stay on his alter ego side until he can get up to the 10 grow counters he can make good use of with "I am Groot" and "I. AM. GROOT!". Allies also help to be able to clear minions or side schemes. I threw in two The Power of Justice since the deck was almost exclusively Justice cards aside from the staples like Avengers Mansion and Helicarrier.
I would almost consider recommending this as a beginner deck. I think maybe the Flora and Fauna would be the only issue if no one was playing as Rocket Raccoon.
