My personal Vision based on Rebooting Viv | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1.0 |
ToneeTales · 5358
The first Vision deck I built which is highlighted in my Vision Review:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UcgVGoJEbY
The idea is to exploit Vivian for her monster stat line 3/3 and the ability to recurr her with 616 Hickory Branch Lane.
The strategy of the deck is simple: activate Vivian as many times as possible with readying effects Command Team, Reboot, Get Ready and then bring her back to the field with either Make the Call or 616 Hickory Branch Lane
Team Training provides great value granting Vivian +1 HP per life. Innovation is free healing.
The suite of allies acts as deck acceleration. In the early game they allow you to get Vivian, team training, and your command teams into play faster. In the mid-late game they allow you to draw your combo pieces: reboot, get ready, make the call.
With this strategy, Vivian is able to easily manage the board with her 3thwart/3attack. You can burn through her activations and bring her back the same turn for burst thw/atk. In the late game Vivian will be able to burst down the villain with 6+ activations in a turn.

Jan 26, 2022I’m thinking about taking this for a spin. Is Team Training so critical that you need two? I was thinking cut that for The Power of Leadership since Make the Call is so good with it. Per your comment about healing, I’m considering dropping Innovation for Goliath as well. |

Innovation on the other hand is more filler, I like to try and incorporate underutilized cards but it's extremely cutable and goliath would be great for giving you that end game swing. It goes against the "theme" of the deck but ultimately could make it more potent. Great ideas man! |
Jan 31, 2022Yeah, this deck is sick! You just have to go all in on readying Vivian, and you can steamroll just about anything. |

Feb 01, 2022Played 3 games vs Expert Hela, Standard Hood, and Expert Hood. This is my favorite Vision deck. It leans into the unique things he can do that other heroes can’t. Ally recursion is one of my favorite strategies. The Power of Leadership was amazing for pulling Maria Hill with Make the Call. There are other tweaks I want to make, but haven’t settled on. I don’t know what I’d add, so I’ll share my experience. I kept drawing Get Ready at times when I wouldn’t be able to get Viv back same turn, and I really only burned her activations if I knew I’d get her back. I flipped very conservatively since Vision only has the one confuse (occasionally getting it back with Density Control, but very situationally). When given the option between Make the Call and Get Ready, I always got out the additional ally instead of readying the current one. Triskelion might be a good add (for me) since I hit the cap a couple of times and drew Make the Call without readies. Kaluu and Ironheart not being good readying targets was relevant, but only rarely. For example, playing Ironheart into a Get Ready as the last card, I’d prefer to keep her around than burn through her since I could always get the additional activation next turn. This is where the second Team Training would likely be useful to get early. I found myself mostly recurring Maria Hill with Make the Call. The biggest weakness really only came up in the expert hood encounter: if you get into a tough spot and are forced to block with Vivian, then usually you aren’t in the position to flip down and get her back either. This kills a lot of the Get Readies and Command Teams. Make the Call/Vivian also compete with Phase Disruption. I haven’t tested it, but might add Quincarrier as one additional build card just to be able to play everything this deck wants to play. Solar Gem and Deft Focus are great, but I think having a way to play 2-cost allies for free with both Quincarrier and Solar Gem would be useful for longer/tougher games, especially since this deck plays allies a lot that Deft Focus can’t help with. Avengers Mansion was very hard to get out without The Power in All of Us or a build card that could help pay for it (which here is only Solar Gem). If I got it out, it was a game changer, but if I couldn’t, it would clog my hand with Get Ready and Command Team, which hurt if I was under pressure and didn’t have a Make the Call to dump them into. On their own, they can’t help the board state. And if the board state is bad, keeping a blocker around is better than activating them one more time. If I test further, I’d likely drop some combination of these to prevent hands full of them. I took Innovation out, but after experiencing Reboot with Vivian, I might put it back in. Getting another 3 strength activation for free would have been nice. I considered Mighty Avengers, thinking that the other allies would leave the table quicker and Vivian could stand alone, hitting for 4 a bunch of times. But was playing Maria too much. I guess after talking through it, I’ll probably experiment adding in the Power of Leadership, Triskelion, and Quincarrier for two Get Ready and one Team Training. In multiplayer, probably not taking Quincarrier so someone else can have it and possibly leaving in the second Team Training. Lastly, I found that this Vision doesn’t have to flip as much. Obviously you want to flip to alter-ego when Intangible for the extra card and be in Intangible to flip to Dense for a card as well. But often, this deck controls threat so efficiently that you want to stay in Dense form, because being Intangible with a 3 thwart Vivian and a ton of ally readies and no threat to remove is a waste. This deck is underrated. It is the most fun I’ve had with Vision. Incredibly flexible and with great options and decision making. The Vivian strategy is so strong, especially in solo where 3-thwart is such a key number. Haven’t tried multiplayer yet, but I’m enjoying it so much that it will likely happen. I also found your content from this deck and am enjoying that as well so far. |
Feb 02, 2022I think you're potentially missing out by not including Machine Man - who fits together with everything you have for Vivian, and can potentially soak up resources to do even more! I'd also look at including some Band Together - I get a lot of mileage out of them. |
Feb 06, 2022I absolutely adore this deck. The versatility and uniqueness makes this very satisfying to play, and i look forward to playing it more. (hoping we get some leadership or basic androids eventually!) |
Mar 01, 2022I have a different deck that buffs Vivian. marvelcdb.com Basically, goal is to get Vivian out as early as possible and add as many upgrades as possible to get her HP + ATK + THW as high as possible. Then use healing /readying to do whatever you need to do. At most, with Target practice, Viv can attack for +7 (+8 with Mighty Avengers) Plus one extra damage! Having her have sidearm means she doesn't need to worry about retaliate. I've played around and also got rid of Maria Hill (or 3rd ally) and used Mighty Avengers. Basically, you are able to keep healing Vivian and reading her. |
Sep 22, 2024Love you man |
Why Make the Call and Get Ready instead of Reboot and Inspired Presence? Cost curve?
