Bait and Taunt: Battle for the Core
This is a variation of my Spider-Man Taunts the Villain deck and will be used against Klaw in my "Battle for the Core" custom scenario (explanatory video here featuring She-Hulk).
Bait and Switch & Taunt prompt extra attacks from Klaw for threat removal and card draw respectively, but this deck doesn't mind taking multiple attacks for a couple reasons:
- Spider-Man's Spider-Sense ability draws you a card when the villain attacks
- Spider-Man's DEF + Armored Vest + Defense events mean he's going taking no damage most of the time, triggering Unflappable and Hard to Ignore.
Interestingly, I never played Bait and Switch in this game because I just never needed to. I had practice games though where this card was the MONSTER that kept the main clear.
Two cards I wish I'd had from the Nightcrawler pack...
The Nightcrawler pack had some really great cards in it, and I wish I'd had it in hand when I built this deck for these two cards:
- Riposte can replace Desperate Defense because I only really wanted the Ready so I could attack next turn.
- "Come Get Me, Bub!" is going to be a lot better in Thor than here, but because Spider-Tracer needs to be attached to a minion it would be nice to have. Getting a Tough card also plays right into what a Perfect Defense deck wants to so!
I watched the video. Nicely done! I'm surprised you don't have Electrostatic Armor and Flow Like Water though.
